Accounting and reporting standards
POP follows guidelines from the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The revised Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) sets out recommendations how a charity should report annually on the resources entrusted to it and the activities it undertakes.
As POP has only recently been registered by the Commission - it has yet to complete a full year of operations. Therefore no report and accounts is currently available. A copy of the annual accounts will be available to all interested parties via this website. in the near future
Internal financial controls
Although POP is run exclusively by Volunteers, it maintains many standard internal controls including segregation of duties of its trustees and volunteers and regular checks on all expenditure and income received. POP is lucky to have volunteers and trustees, who bring various skills including, administrative, technical and financial experience to the table.
